So in 2010 I came away with the title of Kaizen Cup Champ in Kata and this year I kept that title and added to it.
I am now team kata and kata Kaizen Cup Champion!!
I lost kumite and team kumite to some very good friends and came in third in both which i am very happy with.
Pictures are up on facebook.
Karate season has gone well
totals are as follows
Gold - 4
Silver - 3
Bronze - 3
Total number of placings 10!!! in only four competitions can't get better than that really.

Half term week was busy with the karate season with two competitions a week apart from eachother.
FSKA world championships 2011 in Turin Italy,
With a day and a half to enjoy the town centre and sites of turino this has to be the best trip abroad to date with the amazing cathedrals, shopping parades and exquisite buildings (not one was the same as another).
The whole GB team were ready and it was the same for me i went up against Italians on their home ground where they were most comfortable and came away with a bronze in Kata and silver in Kumite.
TKF Nationals;
Held at crystal palace it was due to be a big event and it lived up to that in every scale. The categories were the biggest i had seen in a long time and even my own had almost twenty ladies in both Kata and kumite.
Competition was stiff in individuals and i missed out on placing on the podium, however Team Grrrrr! consisting of Emmie Brown, Marie Tanabalan and myself performed our kata Seisan with bunkai. The synchronised kata felt good and whilst performing the bunkai all i could hear from the audience were oohs, arghs and silence. Once completed i was shown a video of the kata and bunkai and even i was impressed with how it looked to someone who was watching. We came away with team gold!!!.
Team Grrrrr! are now in the great britain squad and will be training towards the JKF World Championships held in Japan.
Their is a second chance to make the Great Britain team at the selections on 4th December 2011.
The season so far has gone very well and with two competitions to go lets hope the results can keep coming in.
Upcoming competitions;
Kaizen Cup Winter Finals - 20th Novemeber
TKF Natioanls selections - 4th December

coming out of injury at the seitou ryu competition i could not enter the Kumite (Sparring), but could show my kata skills.
I managed to get a silver in Individual Kata being between by my own instructor.
Also in team Kata alongside my team mates Emmie Brown and Marie Tanabalan we managed to gain first place with our Unsu kata.
I will be leaving 20th October for Italy to compete at the FSKA World Championships 2011.
